Happy Mardi Gras Season!  Yes, it is that time of year again, when many of you, anxiously await, the arrival of my infamous, authentic, Mardi Gras King Cake, from Mississippi Queen Foods.  The Mardi Gras King Cakes are officially rollin' out the door. 

  

This year, as promised, I have extended my offerings of the King Cakes, beyond the Greater Toronto Area, and I am now shipping them, across Canada.  Thank you, everyone, for your patience, with me, as I have grown to meet this demand. 

 

For those of you, who may not be familiar with my King Cakes, I do make my cakes in the traditional, New Orleans style, which is a braided, Danish cinnamon coffee cake, finished with a fondant icing and decorated with festive Mardi Gras purple (justice), green (faith), and gold (power) sugars.  Each of my authentic, Mardi Gras King Cakes, includes a plastic baby cooked inside; gold foil covered cake board; 2” decorative crown; doubloons; and windowed cake box.  $45.00 for each Mardi Gras King Cake.  Pick up is available, and delivery/shipping is extra.

Fat Tuesday is February 21^st this year, and my Mardi Gras King Cakes are available until the end of February, or when the orders stop coming in!  If you would like delivery, pick up, or shipping, of your cake on Fat Tuesday, or the weekend prior to Fat Tuesday, please be sure to place your order early, as those dates are most popular for bookings and events.

I thank you for your time in reading through my Mardi Gras promotional offer, as I realize there is a lot of information packed into this mailing.  There is always loads of excitement, rolling into Mardi Gras season, even for those of us, including myself, who celebrate, here in Toronto each year.

Mardi Gras is not just about New Orleans, even though New Orleans is THE place to celebrate during Carnival Season.  As many of you know, Mardi Gras is celebrated along the Gulf Coast region of the South, as far east as the Florida Panhandle, and as far west as Corpus Christi, Texas.

The Mississippi Queen is Taking a 'Buying Trip' Down South!

Each year, for U.S. Thanksgiving, I travel down to Mississippi to spend some time with my family, and friends, for the holidays, but also to do a 'buying trip' of goodies, which I bring back for everyone.

Yes, it is that time of year again.....special promotional pricing on Southern Pecan Pies from September through December.  Be sure to order early for Thanksgiving!

I mention this every year, so this year will not be an exception……I make authentic, Southern Pecan Pies, and that is pronounced  like “puh- kawn”…..If you order a “pee- can” pie, please be advised, I will tell you that I do NOT know how to make one.  There is a difference, and you just have to try one, to understand!   

As you can see, my Southern Pecan Pies have to pass a rigorous testing process, to ensure each pie has just the perfect amount of butter…and sugar…and vanilla….and eggs….and butter…and more sugar….and some more butter….oh, and flour….and then some more butter, before it will receive the Mississippi Queen’s ‘stamp of approval’. 

My pies will melt in your mouth, and they are more than ‘Slap Ya Mamma’ good.  These pies are ‘Slap Ya Mamma TWO TIMES’ Good, and that’s real good eatin’!  Don’t you worry ‘bout Mamma.  You just wait ‘til she sinks her teeth in that pie!!
