In 1910, Grandpa Steen didn't have any reason to add anything to his syrup, the Steen family still feels that way today. Grandpa's dream of making pure cane syrup has expanded through the years to include molasses, corn and cane syrup blends and cane vinegar.

As in the days of old - we still harvest our ripened cane to the sweetest state of maturity. The cane is then ground and the juice extracted. The sweet juice is then cooked to perfection in open kettles. When it's just the right clarity and consistency, we call it Steen's 100% Pure Cane Syrup.

For those wanting just a hint of cane flavor in their pancake syrup, this one's for you. Our pure cane syrup is blended with corn syrup for a lighter flavored "Southern Made" syrup.
